I’m now about a month into my first foray into blogging.  So far so good, although I’ve found out (check out the little map all the way at the bottom of the page) that no one in South America or Australia visits.  Besides that small detail, I’ve got all the continents covered.  That said, I attribute my international coverage more to INSEAD’s global reach than my own.  Whatever works, you know?

Anyway, I have the blogroll down at the bottom of my page, but I wanted to bring some attention to a few INSEAD blogs that I like, most (all?) of which are still active.  If you know of any others that I’m missing, leave them in the comments!  Here we go (in no particular order…):

elle@INSEAD ’11J – 11J

My Journey Through an MBA – 10D

NamrataInk’s Weblog – 10J

Paying it forward – 11J

José @ INSEAD MBA – 11J

OutOfMyJeans – 10D (I think)

Inseader2010’s Blog – 10D

And of course:  The Official INSEAD Blog

Okay, one more, a non-INSEAD Blog.  This is my good friend’s food blog.  Everything on there is delicious, so I can’t resist posting it:  Esurience

The one other blog-related thing that I learned recently is that Google Reader is wonderful and it allows you to follow blogs (I realize that I’m way behind on this fact).  It’s especially useful for following blogs that don’t post every day and that you sometimes forget to check in on (ehem, this one).  Anyway, just thought I’d throw that out there.

That’s all for now, I’m going back to scheming on how to get Australia and South America to stop start reading.  It would be really satisfying to say I’ve got all the continents covered (except Antarctica).

A few people have wondered why I’m blogging.  I’m not 100% sure where I see this going yet, but my basic intention is to share my experience with friends and family from home.  This will hopefully be an effective way to reach out to those people that, because of time differences or time deficits, I can’t talk to as much as I would like.  I hope to keep the blog reasonably well updated and give both specifics on my experiences as well as any more general insights I have on other items that seem relevant.  Once I’m in Fonty, hopefully I’ll be able to get some pictures up as well.

Disclaimer: I’m going to try to keep it updated, but judging from others students’ blogging adventures, I make no promises.  We’ll see how this works out.
